Three years ago, Amy Stahlecker, a freshman at Wayne State College,
\n got a flat tire. In a tragic series of events, she tried to hitchhike
\n to get help and was brutally murdered by the driver who picked her up.\n <\/p>\n

Amy’s parents, Susan and Dale Stahlecker of Fremont, sued Firestone,
\n which made the Wilderness AT tire and Ford, which made her 1997 Explorer
\n she was driving, on the theory that their negligence and defective products
\n set off the chain of events that resulted in
\n her death. Bridgestone\/Firestone has recalled
\n millions of ATX, ATX II and Wilderness AT tires since August 2000 after
\n federal safety officials found they were prone to losing their tread
\n while traveling at high speeds.<\/p>\n

In a decision yesterday, the Nebrasca Supreme Court failed to find a
\n "narrative of events, acts,
\n and
\n things done
\n or
\n omitted which
\n show
\n a legal liability
\n of the
\n defendant
\n to the
\n plaintiff." <\/p>\n
