I&#8217;ve lived through many an election but never, ever, ever have I felt the electricity in the air as I do today.  <\/p>\n<p>I arrived this morning to an email from a friend in the UK:  &#8220;&#8230;.but from the view of Limeyland it&#8217;s been a great night for the USA&#8230;. Shame about the Red Sox, you can&#8217;t have everything I guess, but well done your country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The president of Kenya declared a public holiday in Obama&#8217;s honor.  In Indonesia, where Obama lived as child, hundreds of students at his former elementary school erupted in cheers when he was declared winner.  In Britain, The Sun newspaper borrowed from Neil Armstrong&#8217;s 1969 moon landing in describing Obama&#8217;s election as &#8220;one giant leap for mankind.&#8221;  Rama Yade, France&#8217;s black junior minister for human rights, told French radio: &#8220;On this morning, we all want to be American so we can take a bite of this dream unfolding before our eyes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Every blog that I follow that has posted an update is excited about our President-elect.<\/p>\n<p>Our country has a long way to go.  President Obama has a long road ahead.  We did not get where we are overnight and we won&#8217;t get out of it overnight.  I hope and pray, though, that change is coming.  <\/p>\n<p>Yes, it sure does feel good to be loved again!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wow, what a day!
