Once I got my sea legs straight, it was a very enjoyable afternoon!  There were around 40 of us, from both AMPS and AC.  Great people, great food, great weather &#8211; who could ask for more?<\/p>\n<p>I brought my new digital video camera along to capture the trip.  Notice I said new &#8211; I&#8217;ve only had it for a week and I&#8217;m not a technologically inclined person (not everyone at MIT is a genius!) and I proved it.  When I got home, I found that the tape was empty.  I&#8217;ve figured out exactly what I did wrong but I will deny it to no end if asked!  (The battery did run out part way into the trip and I&#8217;ll blame it on that.  And we&#8217;ll leave it at that.  Okay?  \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I believe that a fun time was had by all and now we need to just get through this day and we&#8217;re all off for a long weekend &#8211; yay!<\/p>\n<p>To everyone&#8230;  Have a great 4th of July and be safe!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230;on a lovely afternoon (or something like that!).
