We work on technology planning (that is, setting direction and building roadmaps), governance, and financial analysis for clients in two primary areas of focus: open source and identity. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carril.com\/ejm\/about.html\">Contact info and links&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>However much I may wish, the views expressed here are my own and not necessarily Novell&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;CQ2&#8221; is shorthand for &#8220;Condor&#8217;s Quill II&#8221;, since I had a blog-like mailing list years ago, reporting to family and friends on our travels in Southeast Asia, named &#8220;Condor&#8217;s Quill.&#8221;  More than somewhat immodestly, it comes from a line in <em>Moby Dick<\/em>: &#8220;Give me a condor&#8217;s quill!
