From an economic conference<\/a> sponsored by the University of Redlands:<\/p>\n

The unemployment rate in the Inland Empire is currently 9.1%, double what it was two years ago.\u00a0 It’s forecasted to reach 12.4% in two years and gradually improve from there, although the forecast, from Beacon Economics<\/a>, predicts that it won’t reach its pre-recession level until 2013.<\/p>\n

Inland Empire unemployment rates (August):<\/strong><\/p>\n

2006: 4.8%<\/p>\n

2007: 6.1%<\/p>\n

2008: 8.8%<\/p>\n
