Basically this is going to be a huge event, there’s tons of planning to do, many niches for many types of interests and skills\n
poss: art installation!\n
totally ready for ppl to contribute ideas\n
some complain that so many of the ppl interested in helping aren’t active Wikimedians. But heck… we may become so!\n
(aside: issue of logo for the event and treading on trademarks for odd reasons)\n
way to win trust of the existing Wikimedians is to get a little more involved, do more edits, help let them get to know us\n
the core program committee should be made of longtime Wikimedians though – much of the help the rest of us want to give is both logistical and at the direction of much more highly involved wikimedians. So this should really be fine.\n
SJ explains lots of stuff re the program\n
lots lots lots of volunteer help on the ground needed for recording, transcription. need for english language transcript of every session. audio and video too.\n
what was the conference last year look like, cont’d:\n
lots ofm places to sign up as potential helper in various aspects, sign up on each of the relevant subpages\n
[EG is distracted by IRC and not taking as comprehensive notes.
