Next thing you know, he&#8217;ll be going back in time to recover it.<\/p>\n<p>I could rehash the oft-stated comment that the line between real news and <a href=\"http:\/\/theonion.com\">The Onion<\/a> is getting fuzzy. In fact, there&#8217;s something even more interesting going on here. Real news is always biased. Humorous news is sometimes a bit liberal but, because everyone is bound to screw up at some point, it usually <b>makes fun of everyone<\/b>. Humor may well be the only fair and balanced way to do reporting.<\/p>\n<p>On that note, I&#8217;d like to share my favorite, better-than-real-news, Onion article. The first time I read it, it gave me chills and almost brought me to tears. If you haven&#8217;t seen it, read it right now. If you&#8217;ve already seen it, read it again.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonion.com\/onion3734\/god_clarifies_dont_kill.html\">God Angrily Clarifies &#8216;Don&#8217;t Kill&#8217; Rule<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>UPDATE<\/b>: My friend Greg points me to the &#8220;gold standard for life imitating The Onion&#8221; with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonion.com\/onion3701\/bush_nightmare.html\">this prophetic Onion gem.<\/a> Yes, it is biased, but note that it was written in January 2001, before Bush took office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s official: 62% of polled believe that Rumsfeld has lost his mojo.
