For example, today&#8217;s reads:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">50&#8217;s Beach Girl: <\/span>Don&#8217;t let him <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">misunderstand <\/span>you, Zippy!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Zippy: <\/span>Why you lowbrow, know-nothing, Repub-<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">50&#8217;s Beach Boy: <\/span>Shut up! You&#8217;re just a <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">babbling idiot<\/span>!\n  <\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Z: <\/span>That&#8217;s it. I&#8217;m tired of being &#8220;too hip for th&#8217; room&#8221;! I&#8217;ll read this collection of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.comics.com\/comics\/roseisrose\/\">Rose is Rose<\/a>&#8221; comic strips &amp; see what people <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">like<\/span>!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Z: <\/span>Boy! It doesn&#8217;t take long to adapt my &#8220;message&#8221; to a wider, mainstream audience!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Z: <\/span>Remember <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">me<\/span>, dirtball? <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Now <\/span>how do you feel about <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">absurdity <\/span>and pseudo-intellectual word play?<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">5BG: <\/span>Oh Zippy!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">5BB: <\/span>Aagh!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">5BG: <\/span>&#8212; You&#8217;re so <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">commercially viable<\/span>! And your &#8220;message&#8221; is so deeply embedded in mediocrity, it&#8217;s virtually undetectable!!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Z: <\/span>If that was meant as an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">insult<\/span>, it completely slipped by me!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Bystander: <\/span>Wow!\n  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I can&#8217;t remember right now which other strips he&#8217;s kicked recently, but I&#8217;m glad someone&#8217;s speaking crap to power.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MP, I know you hate Zippy, but recently I&#8217;ve enjoyed several of his strips that lambast other, even more worthelss comics.
