Eating foods? Traveling? Reading books?<\/p>\n<p>And what makes you sad?<\/p>\n<p>What makes <em>you<\/em>\u00a0&#8230;in pain?<\/p>\n<p>JK Rowling tried to visualize pain in the form of dementor.<\/p>\n<p>Absorbing every single piece of peace out of you.<\/p>\n<p>I used to think it is weak to talk about our pains. It&#8217;s mellow. Emo. Not a sign of a mature adult.<\/p>\n<p>Do you ever think that way?<\/p>\n<p>Take a deep breath.<\/p>\n<p>Pain sure sapped that energy of life. Take a deep breath.<\/p>\n<p>Try to imagine a happy moment in life.<\/p>\n<p>Try to be peaceful.<\/p>\n<p>Just try&#8230; \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>And if that&#8217;s still so painful.<\/p>\n<p>Try to see a happy end.<\/p>\n<p>Try to be peaceful. Just try. A little bit more.<\/p>\n<p>A possibly happy day.<\/p>\n<p>Smiling freely. Only naturally.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Even when I said &#8220;yes&#8221; just now to the waitress. She should have guessed I <em>am<\/em> in pain.<\/p>\n<p>COVID-19. Leaving. War. Losing my old phone full of memorable, priceless pictures.<\/p>\n<p>One painful event leading to another.<\/p>\n<p>Happening outside of <em>my<\/em>\u00a0control. Slipped by.<\/p>\n<p>We can control when\/how\/where we want to be happy. But pain manifested and metastasised knowing no clear boundaries, sporadically. Without causes.<\/p>\n<p>I used to think we adult are strong. But I never feel remotely this sad when I was younger.<\/p>\n<p>I (want to) believe there&#8217;s a better day ahead. I am not a defeatist.<\/p>\n<p>Accumulating pain is necessarily the byproduct of being alive.<\/p>\n<p>Unless perhaps, as the Buddha has said: be less attached.<\/p>\n<p>Pain, you should&#8217;t be attached to me, just like I&#8217;ll try not to be attached to worldly quagmires.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What makes you happy?
